From the day that you find out you are pregnant baby items start to look more appealing. The tiny clothes, the baby sized rattles and the adorable bedding choices. A baby’s room should reflect the baby and be baby friendly. Also your favorite color or theme may make it into the choices for your newborn’s room decor.
For some new moms they must know the sex of their baby as soon as this information becomes available. Having a little girl means that the room can be made into one that is fit for a princess. Pinks and purples would be the highlights for the cards, but really all colors can be used. Disney characters of princesses will be a big hit and unicorns or Care Bears would also work.
For newborn boys greens and blues are top color choices. Any pattern or theme with cars, trucks or trains will bring your baby boy home to his own room. Also zoo prints or action figures can highlight a boy’s room decor. Some families wish to find out the sex of their new baby once he or she is born. Doing this will not make you wait to decorate the nursery. Greens and yellows are the best colors that will work. A baby animal theme, such as Sesame Street or a celestial theme can be just as baby friendly as anything else. For all baby bedding make sure that you have enough small blanklets that will keep your baby warm and comfy. A good mattress is key to a good night’s sleep and a mobile hanging atop the crib will make those crying nights to seem fewer and fewer.
